Back in 2006, the first portuguese live poker circuit was created, and Miguel was one of the first champions. His unusual style at the tables showed instant results and he became known as "The Special One".
One of his biggest achievements in live poker was in Estoril when he bested a field of 242 players and claimed first place of a Betfair Portuguese Poker Tour.
