Jeremy “thechemist83” Gaubert reigns from Thibodaux, LA. This 26 year
old graduated with a Chemistry degree, but has no intentions of using
it thanks to his poker skills.
On a very limited volume, he’s
been able to accomplish quite the poker resume both online and live and
is known by his peers as one of the best closers in the game.

In
August, 2007, he won the Pokerstars Sunday Warmup for just under
$80,000. In December of the same year, he followed that up by chopping
the Pokerstars $1,050 Sunday Million 3-handed for $233,000 and in 2008,
Jeremy won the FullTilt $163 rebuy for just under $62,000 and the
FullTilt $163 $65,000 Guaranteed for around $23,000.
So far in 2009, Jeremy has outright wins in several Sunday majors
online. He won the Ultimatebet $530 $100,000 Guaranteed for $26,000
and the FullTilt Sunday Mulligan for just under $53,000. He also has a
win and a 2nd place finish in the Sunday $55 rebuy on Pokerstars for
around $32,000 and $$24,000 respectively. On the live scene, he won
the $5,150 World Poker Open in Robinsonville, MS for $192,953.
On
the live scene, he played only a handful of tournaments but was still
able to put up some significant results. Jeremy won the Gold Strike
World Poker Open and he finished 58th in the $10,000 World Series of
Poker Main Event for $115,800, and he made a final table at the $5,150
Winter Bayou Poker Challenge in New Orleans for just under $25,000.
In
addition to his poker accomplishments on the live and virtual felt, he
runs a very successful online backing business at MTTBacking.com, where
he backs approximately 25 players of various buyins on all major sites
with his partner Todd “8balldeluxe” Blaeuer. Jeremy also specializes
in Step SNGs on Ultimatebet, where he was able to win no less than 7
(!) 2009 Aruba packages.
