Poker History
Thierry van den Berg, better known as BOKPOWER, is a very likeable
Dutchman and a very dangerous player and a force to be reckoned with
both live and online. Coming out of nowhere, he has risen to the top of
European poker with his unparalleled and very constant performances.
While some regarded a few of his early victories as flukes, Thierry has
proven he is the real thing. To date, his fearsome play has made him
close to $800,000 in offline tournaments and over $700 000 in cashes at
online tables. Thierry’s playing style is mainly dictated by feel,
intensity, aggression and patience.
Some of his best live results includes a 5th and an 8th
place at the recent EPT's in Baden & Dublin. And at the 2006 World
Series, he was even very close to a bracelet, ending 7th in the $5,000
six handed no-limit hold'em, in addition to an 81st place in the
$10,000 Main Event. How good these results exactly are should be clear
when taking into account that Thierry played just four World Series
events, and also just very few EPT's. In 2007, he was the
best-performing Dutchman when it came to live tournaments.
- Total Winnings more than $655,716
- WSOP Main Event in 2008 - $35,383
