Swedish Stefan Mattsson, also known as Matadoren, will be one of our seven new poker stars joining Team Bet24 that now consist of thirteen players with the Team Captain Jesper “kipster” Hougaard. Stefan is one of Sweden most experienced poker stars and even though Stefan sees himself mainly as a cash game player he has in total tournament winnings of almost nine million Swedish kronor. - ”We are very happy and excited to have signed up some of Europe’s most high qualified players” says Bet24's poker manager Lars Kollind. ”It is amazing to have seven new poker profiles in our team and to be able to participate in their development as poker players and also build and strengthen Bet24 as a brand.”

Amongst the newcomers in our team we also got two Finnish stars: Matias Knaapinen and Tapio Vihakas. Matias Knaapinen has since back in 2008 showed his skills in tournaments mostly on the European poker scene, including a prestigious first price in EMOP in Barcelona 2010.

Tapio Vihakas has also had great success in tournaments around Europe and got the cash in December at GSOP in Prague but is mostly a very successful limit player online. David Wintersberger from Germany is yet another great tournament player joining the team; also David brings many fine results with him. He managed to grab the cash in two ETP-tournaments. Swedish Ida Lundholm have a solid background as a specialist in cash games both online and live, as well as experiences from different tournaments around Europe. Ida have the intention to make the year of 2012 her best year so far, through tournament poker. She is one of two Swedish women that are joining the team.

We also have the Swedish TV star Sara Shalabi from the show “Survivor”, a very popular TV - series all over the world, who used to see poker as a leisure activity, who now managed to make her a poker pro. Another upcoming Swedish poker star born 1989 – Arvin Golrang, has made a rapid climb mainly when it comes to Sit&Go heads up online and he will be the seventh star to join the exiting and fast growing team of Bet24. All of the new seven stars with different backgrounds are expected to bring a lot of excitement and experience to Team Bet24. - ”It feels like a really good start on the new year to become a part of Team Bet24” says Stefan Mattsson, now planning his tournament schedule for this year.
