Jens
Kyllönen (born 1989) is a professional poker player residing in
Helsinki, Finland. He belongs to the new breed of players that seems
to be as successful in NLH and PLO cash games as in tournament play.
Jens has despite his young age showed some great performances both
live and online since his 18th birthday and if the amount of hands
played could be converted to a poker age then Jens would already be a
middle aged man.
Jens
Kyllönens first major online tournament cash was his win at the
ECOOP main event in June 2008 for $315,000. His biggest live
tournament win came in February 2009, when he won the main event of
EPT Copenhagen for €878,057 and his biggest cash online was during
one week in April 2011 when Jens "ingenious89" Kyllönen
took down over $1 million at $300/$600 PLO.
The
next challenge for Jens Kyllönen will be in Las Vegas this summer
since he has now turned 21 and can finally participate in WSOP. Poker
Icons believes that we will see a Finn winning a bracelet this year
as well.
“Jens has one of those
personalities where skill and good manner are at its best – rare
qualities that poker companies are constantly requesting.” –
Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk, Poker Icons.
“I am very proud to join the same
poker agency as Sami Kelopuro and Juha Helppi . I know that my game
will continue to develop and this summer hopefully both WSOP and
Poker Icons will take me to the next level of my poker career.”
