Poker History Thiago Nishijima was born in 1979 and
lives in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In his early years Thiago was a
Successful Banker, but after a introduction into the poker world, he
soon became hooked and is now a Poker Professional playing at the
highest Levels.
Thiago wanted to follow in the
footsteps of Alexandre Gomes and make history, who became the first
gold bracelet winner ever from South America in the WSOP 2008. He
ended up finishing 3rd and taking home a very tidy $315,000. This in
itself a fantastic achievement.
Thiago is one of the most important
Brazilian Poker players around and with an impressive regime of at
least 11 Cashes in live tournaments, including a 1st place in the EPT
Grand Final Monte Carlo 2009 2nd chance, taking home a cool €70,000.
He has also had three top 3 finishes in
the WPT Barcelona 2008, Las vegas Clube Brazil and the WSOPs event
45.
To add to this impressive tally of Live
Tournament cashes, Thiago has a fantastic record in online
tournaments having 13 top 4 finishes including winning the WCOOP #16
and coming 2nd in the ECOOP Main event.
