Poker History Amy started playing poker while studying for a Marketing degree at the University in Newcastle and would often play at local card clubs whilst she was on holiday away from school. After leaving Newcastle, she auditioned for and won a role as a presenter for Gutshot TV. In her first big gig, she reported live from the 2006 WSOP interviewing big names in the game. She has worked in Marketing/PR in the gaming industry ever since and is now currently working for a well-known poker site, where she also plays poker and writes a poker blog.
In 2010 Amy cashed over £20,000 in tournament winnings, won a package to Vegas and got her hands on her first trophy by taking down the £200 Event at the GSOP 2010. 2011 looks to be an even bigger year for Amy after she won the Inaugural English Deepstack Poker Championship for £25,000. Now Amy is looking forward to the WSOP 2011 in Las Vegas and continues on her path to poker fame!
